Tampa Teenage Drunk Driver Injures Five

Late Tuesday evening, Miguel Angelo Rivera, 19 years old, of Tampa lost control of his 2001 Pontiac Grand Am on North Dale Mabry and spun across the median into south-bound traffic. His car stopped in the path of a 2004 Hyundai Elantra, which crashed into the Pontiac. Edwin Rodriguez, 15, was ejected from the car into the road and suffers serious injuries. He was in the back seat and was not wearing a seatbelt. Angela Leann Oglesby, 17, Arthur Eugene Larry Miller, 17, and driver Lonnie James, Glover, 46, were also hospitalized. Rivera was driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, DUI with property damage and DUI with injury, careless driving, and driving with suspended license.
