Hulk Hogan’s Son Excused From Deposition Due to Movie Filming Conflict
Posted on Oct 21, 2009
Today, a Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court Judge W. Douglas Baird excused Nick Bollea from travelling to St. Petersburg, Florida for deposition from California where Bollea is presently residing. Nick Bollea’s lawyer, Stuart Freeman, argued that Bollea was unavailable for a previously scheduled deposition next week because he is currently filming a movie called “Kill Katie Malone.” Judge Baird agreed that the law did not require Bollea to travel out of state to be deposed. Freeman offered to provide Bollea for deposition at a later date. Bollea’s case is set for trial in March.
Nick Bollea, and his parents, former wrestler Hulk Hogan and Linda Bollea, are defendants in a law suit filed by the guardian of John Graziano. On August 26, 2007, Graziano was a passenger in Bollea’s car during a car wreck that left Graziano with permanent brain damage. Bollea was the driver. He pled no contest to a reckless driving with serious bodily injury charge and served eight months of jail time. Bollea also received five years of probation, 500 hours of community service, and a strict order to avoid alcohol through the probationary period. His driver’s license was revoked for three years and he was required to attend DUI school. In his criminal case, Bollea was represented by Kevin Hayslett from The Law Offices of Carlson & Meissner.
