Q:
What happens after a determination of the existence of an emergency or non-emergency condition is made under the new PIP law?

A:
Assuming the determination of the existence of an emergency or non-emergency condition is made within fourteen days of the automobile accident, up to $10,000 of PIP benefits will be paid for treatment for injuries if there is a determination of emergency medical treatment.  If there is a determination of non-emergency medical condition, only up to $2,500 in PIP benefits will be paid.
