Possession of Marijuana

Client left a gas station and failed to turn on his headlights.  The officer conducted a traffic stop of his vehicle for failing to use headlights.  Client was rightfully cited for driving on a suspended license.  He was released from the scene by the officer.  Two blocks later, he was stopped again by the same officer based on a BOLO (be on the look out) for a car somewhat matching his car but not exactly.  The BOLO did not state why they were looking for the car but there was a separate report of a burglary alarm in the same area.  Client was ordered out of the car and a blunt was located underneath him on the seat.  The State Attorney’s Office dropped the charges.
