Sports Cars Stopped for Speeding on Florida’s I-75

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) received calls today reporting a group of cars travelling in excess of 100 mph on Interstate 75 (I-75).  As the 911 calls continued to come in, the Florida Highway Patrol went into action tracking the movement of the vehicles from the calls and quickly planning a speed trap.  FHP utilized four troopers and issued citations for speeding to 16 cars.  The pack of foreign sports cars was heading to Brandenton for the Import Face-Off at the Brandenton Motorsports Park.
